Technical Pre-Sales Engineer – Cybersecurity, ICAP, Malware, German Speaking – Remote First / London – £90,000 to £110,000 + 25% Bonus – Ref: JB152

We have a new opportunity for a Technical Pre-sales Engineer to join a Cyber Security scale-up. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of sales, engineering, and customer success, where you will leverage your expertise to ensure their solutions meet the precise needs of their clients.

Their products ensure safe, secure document handling and integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems using technologies such as REST APIs, ICAP, cloud storage monitoring, and internet isolation.

With ICAP (Internet Content Adaptation protocol) support, they connect directly to proxy servers for real-time document security enforcement making it easy to protect documents at scale across both on-premises and cloud environments.

As the Technical Pre-sales Engineer, you will partner with the sales team to understand customer requirements and deliver tailored solutions. This includes designing and presenting technical demonstrations, proofs of concept’s (PoCs), and responding to RFIs/RFPs with detailed documentation.

You will use your technical experience to demonstrate the value their products can offer, particularly in ICAP enabled proxy environments and secure document workflows.

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

• Proven track record in a similar technical pre-sale’s role working on long sales cycles
• You must be fluent in German as this is one of the key markets they have identified for future growth
• Before moving into a Technical Pre-Sales Engineer role, you will ideally have worked (or studied) as Software Engineer, with a good understanding of programming languages such as C#, C++, Java or Python.
• You will be highly analytical, bright, and curious with a strong academic background in a related subject such as Computer Science or Similar (A number of their team are educated to MSc / PhD level)

Any background or knowledge of the cybersecurity or malware domains with exposure to Modern Security Architectures like ICAP (Internet Content Adaptation Protocol), ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access), CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker) & CDR (Content Disarm and Reconstruction) Technology concepts would help you really stand out!!!!

Other nice to haves would be: 

• Experienced in DevOps practices, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and automation tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible. 
• Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, HTTP/S), proxy configurations
• An understanding of CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps

The role is remote first, but we do need the successful candidate to be based within a reasonable commute of London for ad hoc client meetings and events. Travel costs will be provided.
