Senior Backend Engineer (Multiple roles) – Ruby, Rails, RoR – Remote (UK or Europe) – £75,000 to £90,000 – Ref: JB33
We have a number of new opportunities for Senior Backend / Ruby Engineer’s to join an award-winning SaaS scale up. The successful candidates will be joining the product team who make up 50% of the business. Working within one of the 4 x Agile Scrum Squads, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining their Rails based SaaS Applications that are built for enterprise customers. Their ecosystem is composed by a number of API’s mainly built using Ruby on the backend and a mix of Angular, React and TypeScript on the frontend.
Skills, knowledge and Experience required:
- Proven background in Ruby / Rails development with a good few years under your belt
- Comfortable developing, deploying, and maintaining SaaS / B2B applications for enterprise customers, ideally with a good knowledge of API design, development, and integration
- Familiarity with database technologies, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL
- Bonus points will be given to anyone with experience of GraphQL or AWS
They are big fans of Automation testing. The ideal candidate will be passionate about writing well designed and tested code with a strong preference for TDD and Pair programming.
