Senior Full Stack Engineer – Ruby on Rails & Angular, React or Vue – Remote from Philippines (UK Hours) – Equivalent of £45,000 to £60,000 British Pounds – Ref: JB142
We are currently on the hunt for a Senior (Backend focused) Full Stack Engineer to join a growing B2B SaaS scale-up. The successful candidate will be joining the product team who make up 50% of the business. Working within one of the Agile Scrum Squads, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining their Rails based SaaS Applications that are built for enterprise customers.
This is a highly collaborative hands-on role where you will work across the stack from backend services and API’s, to frontend features and integrations.
Skills, knowledge and Experience required:
- You must have previous experience working as a Senior Full Stack Engineer, ideally within product focused, fast paced start-up or scaling environment
- You will have a demonstrable background in Ruby / Rails development with a good few years under your belt
- Although this is a backend biased role, we are looking for someone who can build and extend Angular based UI Functionality, whilst ensuring a performant and elegant user experience. (Candidates with experience of Vue or React will also be considered)
- Comfortable developing, deploying, and maintaining SaaS / B2B applications for enterprise customers, ideally with a good knowledge of RESTful and / or GraphQL API design
- Strong understanding of database technologies (ideally PostgreSQL)
- Bonus points will be given to anyone with experience of Kafka, AWS or distributed systems design as well as anyone who has integrated with third party API’s using XML, JSON or SOAP
They are big fans of Automation testing. The ideal candidate will be passionate about writing well designed and tested code with a strong preference for TDD and Pair programming.

This is a fully remote permanent role (not a B2B contract), working UK Hours 09:00 to 18:00 with 1 hour for lunch.
