C++ Software Engineer – Remote First (UK Based) / London – £55,000 to £65,000 – Ref: JB75

We have an opportunity for a C++ Software Engineer to join a Cyber Security scale-up. This is a great environment for a real techie to learn from a team of Senior Engineers while working on complex solutions.  You will be joining the Core Software Development team working on the main platform of which all their products run off.

The C++ Software Engineer will help in the development and maintenance of their highly scalable, real time multi-threaded / multi-processing solutions. They have recently started working to an agile approach and adopting best practices such as TDD, so any experience or an interest in these areas is highly desirable.

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • You will ideally come from a strong educational background (including good a-levels) with a minimum of a 2.1 degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics or relevant discipline – Several of their engineers are educated to MSc / PhD level
  • You must have at least a few years recent experience in developing highly scalable, complex real-time solutions using C++
  • Any experience of working in Scrum, Agile and TDD environments would be a real plus.

The role is remote first, but we do need the successful candidate to be based within the UK and have full right to work. They tend to hold planning sessions in the London office once every 2 months. Travel costs will be provided.

We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role, and due to the nature of the work, there might be a need to gain security clearance. Considering this, we do need someone who has lived and / or worked within the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
