Automation Test Engineer – Python – Remote First (UK Based) / London – £60,000 to £75,000 – Ref: JB55
We have a new opportunity for an Automation Test Engineer to join a Cyber Security scale-up. You will be joining the Core Engine team who build the main platform of which all their products run off. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Automation Test Engineer to help drive the adoption of automation testing and a Shift-left testing Approach.
As the Automation Test Engineer, you will help identify what tests can be automated and then build these from the ground up. You will design and implemented automated test scripts and collaborate with the developers to promote unit testing best practices.
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
- You must have a strong educational background, ideally including good a-levels and a minimum of a 2.1 degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics or relevant discipline – A number of their engineers are educated to MSc / PhD level
- You must have several years’ experience of Software Testing, with a strong focus on automation using python. (Experience with Pytest or Robot Framework would be a plus)
- You will ideally have a demonstrable background of testing complex Real-Time (RTOS), Multi threaded or Embedded solutions built using C++ or Java
- Any prior experience of implementing automation from scratch, would be a real plus.
The role is remote first, but we do need the successful candidate to be based within the UK and have full right to work. They tend to hold planning sessions in the London office once every 2 to 3 months. Travel costs will be provided.
