AI Automation Engineer (Internal Tools) – AI Agents, TypeScript – Remote First (UK Only) / London – £60,000 to £80,000
We are on the hunt for an AI Automation Engineer to join a scaling SaaS company. You will not be building product features, but instead you will be building the internal tooling, Automation, AI Agents to help make the business teams more efficient and effective.
This role sites outside the engineering teams and will work directly with the CEO to identify and remove high-friction bottlenecks.
This is a high-impact, high-ownership role where you will turn messy operational problems into deployed AI-powered systems, improving speed, efficiency, and decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the CEO to identify and eliminate company-wide bottlenecks
- Partner with various stakeholder from the wider business teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Accounts etc) to understand workflows and friction points
- Own problems end-to-end, from discovery to deployed solution
- Build AI agents and internal tools using TypeScript
- Automate workflows and replace manual processes with intelligent systems
- Ship fast, iterate continuously, and deliver measurable impact
- Maintain high standards of UX and usability for internal tools
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Experience building and shipping real systems (not just prototypes)
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and define problems from scratch
- Strong product thinking: focused on outcomes, not features
- Hands-on experience with AI tools, Agents and TypeScript
- High ownership and persistence, with a track record of delivering solutions end-to-end (idea to production)
