Are you a highly motivated and experienced PMO leader seeking a challenging role at the heart of a significant organisational transformation within a Tech for good environment? We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Head of PMO to establish and lead a corporate “centre of excellence” for project and programme management. You will be instrumental in facilitating cultural change and moving the organization towards higher levels of project, programme and portfolio maturity.

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Lead the PMO function as a visible champion of project and programme management excellence across the organization.
  • Align business strategy with the portfolio of projects and programmes, ensuring strategic objectives are delivered effectively.
  • Provide corporate governance and assurance across all projects and programmes, working with governance teams and Internal Audit.
  • Manage portfolio reporting and provide evidence-based recommendations to senior managers, executives and Boards on monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Demonstrate expertise in PPPM methodologies and customize approaches to meet organizational needs.
  • Develop and deliver PPPM training and coaching to personnel across the organization, inspiring successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Manage and develop the PMO team, aligning resources with emerging needs and building capabilities.
  • Undertake comprehensive stakeholder management and communications throughout the organization.
  • Ensure project and programme benefits are identified, quantified and their realization planned and tracked.
  • Coordinate project closure activities to capture lessons learned and continuously improve processes.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses:

  • Professional accreditation in PPPM methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP, P3O, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Extensive experience in leading a PMO function with a proven track record of establishing project management excellence.
  • Extensive experience working with senior management in large, complex, multi-disciplinary organizations.
  • Demonstrable experience applying and tailoring best practice PPPM methods to establish standardized project and programme management.
  • Experience undertaking independent assurance roles including governance, reporting, finances, and gateway reviews.
  • Strong leadership skills with evidence of managing multiple teams and building collaborative relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
