Frontend Technical Lead / Guild Lead – Angular, Next.js & React – Remote (UK Hours) – £80,000 to £95,000 – Ref JB161

We are currently on the hunt for a Frontend Technical Lead / Guild Lead, to join a growing B2B SaaS scale-up. The successful candidate will be joining the product team who make up 50% of the business. 

This is a hands-on, frontend-first role, where you will set technical direction, lead complex UI initiatives, and collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend developers, to deliver fast, elegant, and scalable features. 

You will act as a frontend technical authority, mentor engineers, and influence product decisions with a strong focus on code quality, developer experience, and real user impact. You will also be responsible for exploring and championing the use of AI tools to improve frontend productivity, quality, and delivery speed.

Skills, knowledge and Experience required:

• Proven experience as a senior, hands-on frontend engineer with clear ownership of complex, production-grade UI systems.
• Ability to own and drive the technical direction of frontend applications, with deep, practical experience in Angular, React, and/or Next.js.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture patterns.
• Demonstrated experience designing and evolving frontend architectures that are performant, accessible, maintainable, and scalable.
• Track record of leading the implementation of complex, high-impact user interfaces and workflows.
• Solid experience working with and customising component libraries, ideally Material UI.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a product-focused SaaS start-up / scale-up environment, with a passion for writing well designed and tested code.

This is a fully remote permanent role (not a B2B contract), working UK Hours 09:00 to 18:00 with 1 hour for lunch.
