Senior Automation Test Engineer – SDET, Python – Remote First (UK Based) / London – £75,000 to £85,000 – Ref: JB158

We have a new opportunity for a Senior Automation Test Engineer to join a Cyber Security scale-up. You will be joining the Core Engine team who build the main platform of which all their products run off. 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Automation Test Engineer to help drive the adoption of automation testing. This will include working with the engineering teams to champion shift left testing (TDD, BDD) and promote Unit Testing best practices.

As the Senior Automation Test Engineer, you will help identify what tests can be automated and then build these from the ground up. This will include designing and implementing automated test tooling, processes and scripts, for functional and non-functional testing using the appropriate frameworks and technologies.

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

• You must have several years’ experience in a similar role where you were testing complex data driven backend systems, with a strong focus on automation testing using python. 
• You should be comfortable using either Pytest or Robot Framework 
• Prior experience of implementing automation testing from scratch, would be a real plus as would any experience of testing solutions written in C++ or C# 
• A strong educational background, ideally including good a-levels and a minimum of a 2.1 degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics or relevant discipline is preferred but not essential. Several of their engineers are educated to MSc / PhD level

The role is remote first, coming into the London office once a month for planning sessions. Travel costs will be provided.
