Full Stack PHP Developer – Agency, WordPress, OO, TDD – Toronto / Remote (Must be based in Canada) – 90,000 CAD$ – Ref: JB-20
We have a new opportunity for a Full Stack PHP Developer to join a well-established Agency who specialise within the Art’s & Culture sector. We are looking for someone with strong background in PHP and WordPress. The Full Stack PHP Developer will be working with multiple clients on a variety of tickets. These range from new site / product builds to enhancements and bug fixing. You must be able to read code and reverse engineer when working on tasks with little documentation.
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
- Prior experience of working in agency / client led environments building digital solutions using PHP and WordPress
- You must have a strong focus on producing quality code using techniques such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Object-Oriented programming (OOP)
- As a full stack developer, you should have great hands-on experience with a range of frontend technologies such as CSS, HTML, JavaScript and / or jQuery
- Prior experience of building solutions on cloud platforms such as Heroku or AWS
Nice to have “non-essential” skills, knowledge and experience
- A real interest within the Art’s & Culture sector with experience of working on ticketing or donor / fundraising systems would be a real plus.
The role is remote first but is only eligible to candidates who are currently based in Canada, with full right to work and does not offer sponsorship.
