Your Purpose:

Working within our Business Intelligence team, you will be the driving force behind developing, implementing, and maintaining our data warehouse using cutting-edge tools available within the business. Your role as a Microsoft BI Developer will extend beyond data architecture, as you take the lead in information reporting for the business. By translating business requirements into BI solutions using best practices, you will collaborate with key business contacts to improve data insights and contribute to our mission of a greener future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, develop, and maintain data warehouses using the ETL tools available within the business to provide data solutions for Business Intelligence and Analytics.
  • Cleanse, Process and verify the integrity of data used for analysis, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Expand our data capabilities with third-party sources of information to enhance data insights and support business strategies.
  • Work alongside with stakeholders to identify business requirements, conduct analysis, and create visualizations and presentations that drive informed decision-making.
  • Develop and model scenarios to impact critical business processes and decisions, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Generate and manipulate data sets using various tools and methods to facilitate data analysis and reporting.
  • Design information schemas for BI and analytic reporting to support management in making informed business decisions.
  • Prepare special project analyses and present results in a clear and meaningful manner, promoting data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
  • Plan and communicate information internally and externally, showcasing the power of data in driving sustainability and innovation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A strong numerical background.
  • Proven experience in Microsoft BI Development, including data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL tools (for example. WhereScape).
  • Proficiency in SQL DB and hands-on experience with TSQL.
  • Knowledge of MS BI stack technologies such as SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
  • Familiarity with Dimensional Data Modelling and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) would be highly beneficial.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities, staying calm under pressure and meeting targets and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with staff and key business partners at all levels.
