Do you have a passion for SharePoint and a knack for keeping Microsoft 365 running smoothly?

We are seeking a 365 Architect with a passion for SharePoint to join our busy technology department. We form the technical backbone for a multi-national group of companies operating in a matrix model we support the varied and evolving needs of the companies that make up the group.  This role will be a highly visible role that will see you working closely with the leadership teams within said companies.  It will be your role to understand the operations of these highly different environments across the group to advise on SharePoint & 365 implementation. Offering an efficient and secure Microsoft environment while also providing bespoke solutions and expertise to enable a future roadmap for the 365 environment.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will enjoy working with technical and non-technical individuals, providing mentoring and training as required while also producing documentation as needed for technical and non-technical areas of the business. This is a newly created position within our large technology department we are seeking someone who will not only deliver against our existing projects but also someone who can make the role their own, highlighting opportunities for improvements but also ensuring new innovations in the space are brought to the attention of the business. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Become the SharePoint Guru: Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot our SharePoint environments, keeping them secure, performing, and aligned with business needs.
  • Champion Security and Compliance: Manage user permissions, data integrity, and security protocols to ensure our SharePoint platform remains a trusted space for collaboration.
  • Keep Us Up-to-Date: Implement software updates, system integrations, and configuration changes to optimize our SharePoint experience.
  • Empower Our Users: Develop and maintain user-friendly document libraries, lists, and site collections within SharePoint.
  • Problem-Solver Extraordinaire: Quickly diagnose and troubleshoot SharePoint issues, escalating complex problems when needed.
  • Embrace Collaboration: Work with internal teams and third-party vendors to implement new SharePoint functionalities.
  • Share Your Knowledge: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate staff on leveraging SharePoint effectively.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Possesses a strong understanding of Microsoft 365 administration, with a focus on SharePoint Online.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys diving into technical challenges.
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Has a knack for clear and concise communication, both written and verbal.
  • Maintains a proactive approach to staying current with the latest Microsoft 365 updates and best practices.
  • Enjoys collaborating with colleagues and fostering a supportive team environment.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automating tasks.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Intune, Azure AD, and Exchange Online.
  • A relevant IT certification (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator)

It is worth noting the group has offices across the UK and Europe. Some travel within the UK will be required to work with our management teams in those offices so a driving licence and willingness to travel on occasion will be needed.  The role can be based from Suffolk, Worcestershire or Edinburgh.  The majority of our Technology teams are based in the Suffolk office on a hybrid basis.
